This policy explains what information is collected on the website of the office of Yehonatan Ben-Natan, attorney & notary ("the office", "we"), how it is stored and for what purposes, and what your rights are — in accordance with Israel's Privacy Protection Law, 1981, including Amendment No. 13, and the Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 2017.

1. What information is collected

  • Information you provide voluntarily — in the contact form: full name, phone number, email address, inquiry topic and your message. Providing this information depends on your free will and consent; without it we cannot handle an inquiry submitted through the form.
  • Technical information — the website is hosted on a dedicated server managed for the office, which may record technical data in server logs, such as IP address, browser type and access times, for security and operational purposes.
  • Cookies — as of this policy's update date, the website does not use tracking cookies, analytics tools or targeted advertising. If this changes in the future, the policy will be updated accordingly.
  • Local storage — the accessibility menu stores the preferences you choose (such as text size and contrast) in your browser's local storage only. This information is not sent to us or to anyone else, and you can delete it at any time via the menu's "Reset settings" button or by clearing the site's data in your browser.

2. Purposes of use

Information submitted in the form is used for one purpose: responding to and handling your inquiry, including contacting you back and arranging a meeting. We do not use the information for marketing, do not send mailing-list messages, and do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

3. Where the information is stored and who can access it

Form submissions are stored in a secured database on the website's server and delivered to the office's email inbox via the Brevo mailing service, acting as a data holder. The copy held in the website's database is deleted within 365 days at most; for other retention periods see section 4. Access is limited to the attorney and office staff, subject to the confidentiality duties that apply to attorneys; service providers act under their contractual and legal obligations.

4. Retention period

Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and to reasonably document the office's activity. An inquiry that matures into a client matter is kept under the rules applying to client files; an inquiry that does not is deleted after a reasonable time.

5. Your rights

Under the Privacy Protection Law, including Amendment 13, you have — among others — the following rights:

  • Access — to review the information we hold about you.
  • Correction and deletion — to request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, or its deletion.
  • Withdrawal of consent — to ask us, at any time, to stop using the details you provided.
  • Complaint — to file a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in section 8; we will handle the request within the timeframes set by law.

6. Data security

The website is served over an encrypted protocol (HTTPS) and the information is managed in line with the Data Security Regulations. That said, no system can guarantee absolute immunity from unauthorized access — we recommend not including sensitive information in the form beyond what is needed for initial coordination.

7. Links and third-party services

The website includes an embedded Google Maps map and external links (for example, WhatsApp). Use of these services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of their operators.
